About me

Welcome to My Website

Hello my name is Esther.

I am a qualified teacher and trainer with dogs. I have studied with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT ) and qualified as a member with this organisation who promote the concepts of Kind, Care and Effective approaches to training. I am a qualified teacher with the Gundog Training Academy(GTA), adhering to force free approaches to gun dog training. My specialty area is Fun gun dog. I am a qualified instructor with the College of Scent Dogs. My focus is on supporting your dog with life skills, outlets and having fun and partnership development with their guardian/
family members. I am also a trained teacher with Predation Substitute Training( Simone Mueller) , this method particularly supports dogs who are distracted in the outdoors and chase.

I am often asked what are my passions within this wonderful role of teaching guuardians and dogs. To be honest I love all the areas I teach, but I have a special interest in helping teenage dogs and dogs who struggle in the outdoors whether it is recall or having a dog to do.

I’ve had the privilege of living with dogs all my life and currently share my home with three wonderful flat-coated retrievers. As a force-free trainer, my focus is on supporting dogs' emotional well-being and providing them with fun, and enriching learning experiences.

I teach in a two-acre secure paddock, offering a safe and interesting environment for dogs to explore and learn in. Additionally, I use other facilities to provide varied teaching environments, ensuring that every dog has the chance to experience different settings that support their growth and confidence.

I have a special interest in working with teenagers and anxious dogs, guiding them to build trust and emotional resilience through positive reinforcement. My teaching specialisms include Scentwork, Fun Gun Dog, and Predation, where I create engaging activities that foster teamwork and enjoyment for both dogs and handlers. Every dog deserves the opportunity to thrive in a supportive, understanding environment, and I’m here to help you and your dog along that journey. A special mention and thankyou to my husband Simon who is always supporting me with this wonderful area of work with canines and our family members. He is passionate about our dogs and loves spending time around the home with them often being distracted by them as they try to help him with any maintenance tasks! We also enjoy family walks and our dog holidays.
