Fun Gun Dog classes are designed for pet dogs and their handlers who want to enjoy the skills, partnership and enrichment of gundog-style training in a supportive, force-free environment.
These classes focus on building teamwork, engagement, self-control and confidence through rewarding games after practical exercises – inspired by traditional gundog work. No previous experience is needed and all breeds are welcome.

Classes include opportunities for dogs and handlers to work towards assessment under The Gundog Club Graded Scheme. The scheme provides a fun and supportive way to measure progress and celebrate training achievements through structured assessments at different levels. Participation in assessments is optional and handlers are welcome to attend classes simply for enjoyment, enrichment and skill development.

Foundation Level
The Foundation level is ideal for beginners or dogs new to Fun Gun Dog training.
This level focuses on creating strong training foundations through games and engagement exercises. Dogs learn how to work with their handler while developing confidence, focus and motivation.
Skills may include:

Progression Level
The Progression level develops the skills introduced in Foundation and introduces more challenge, control and distance work.
Dogs begin to work with greater independence while maintaining connection and responsiveness to their handler.

- Steadiness around movement

Intermediate Level
Intermediate classes are designed for dogs and handlers with established foundation skills who are ready for more advanced training scenarios.
Exercises become more complex and may involve combinations of skills, varied environments and greater levels of control and precision.
